We wanted to remind you all that there are only three TRUE NORTH’s left for the school year…and all three are going to be big nights for us:
This Wednesday (April 16th) is 8th Grade Night. We want to give all the current 8th graders a little taste of what TRUE NORTH is all about. So we need all of you to do two things. First, invite the 8th graders you know and get them there. Second, make those 8th graders feel welcomed and accepted on Wednesday night. All those 8th graders look up to you and your influence could make a huge difference in their spiritual lives.
April 23rd is TRUE NORTH “In the Round”. On this night we will be putting the stage in the middle of the room and we are inviting back. Justin Carlson and Stevie Griffin for a special night of worship.
April 30th is Senior Night and the final TRUE NORTH of the school year. This is the night where we honor and thank our seniors for all that has happened through them in the last 6 years. The Youth Lounge walls will be covered with pictures of just seniors going all the way back to those awkward 7th grade days. We will have a couple of seniors defend their Peanut Butter Lick title, and we will have a special video at the end. I probably get more excited about teaching this night than any others. It is always a great night.
Lastly, just a reminder that the TRUE NORTH Beach Trip is beginning to fill up. The trip is June 16th-20th and the cost is $375. Anyone is invited, so we really hope that you will invite your friends. If the cost is the reason you or your friends might not go, please talk to Lance, Adrianne, or Todd and we are sure we can work something out.

I thought it would be fun, but I had no idea that you all would make it that fun. Balcony Battle Ball started out a little slow, but once you all realized how fun it was to bean each other with the ball things got pretty furious. Annie Holm and Sarah Dawes entertained us with the candle game more than I expected. In the end Annie's boxing out won the game for her. Cameron, Hayley, Chase, Stuart, John, and Weezie were great sports in downing some nasty baby food.
Next week we have the TRUE NORTH 80s Prom at 7:30 pm in the Youth Lounge. You will want to break out your shoulder-pad dresses and Miami Vice pants, along with your Michael Jackson dance steps. Oh, and don't forget to text my brother "Happy Birthday". If you forgot his number just email me (terickson@2pc.org) and I will give it to you.

There will be a Uganda Team Parents' Meeting this coming Sunday, March 30th, at 7:30 pm. The meeting will be in the Jr. High room which is located upstairs in the E Building (Gym building). We will be discussing everything from travel arrangements to shots required to the garage sale fundraiser.

After two weeks of weird Spring Break schedules, we just wanted you to know that everything is back to normal this week. So, there is TUESDAY PRAYER tomorrow at the Jorgensen's. 3 DEGREES Small Groups and TRUE NORTH will both be meeting this Wednesday night. Both Sr. High and Jr. High Sunday School will meet this week. And Sr. High Small Groups and 3 DEGREES will meet at their regular scheduled time this Sunday afternoon and evening.

It was a pretty impressive night at TRUE NORTH, mostly because so many people dressed up. Avery Jordan took home the big prize (a toaster???), but Robert Kinney, Cameron Crawford, and Walt Wepfer came in a close second. And it was no surpirise that Sarah Jemison (Frank the Tank's little sister) won the 6th Annual Iron Chef. Max Shepperd gave a great effort, but it's just too hard to beat a Jemision in the Iron Chef. Beach Trip signs-ups have begun and don't forget that next week is 3 DEGREES Night where we will bring you back to the glory years or nightmare years of Jr. High.

Hey y'all!! This is a very special week in the life of the church and in the life of Christians. This week represents Jesus' last week on Earth that leads ultimately to His death and resurrection. Years ago, I decided to follow Jesus's journey during this week during my own quiet times and found it so helpful that I wrote it down for you. Here it is 3 Degrees Holy Week Devotional. I hope that you are able to follow along as well.
